Stronger together.
Close to our clients.
Abelica Global is an international network of independent actuaries and consultants specializing in employee benefits, insurance, and investment consulting. Our members are carefully selected through a rigorous multi-stage process and are recognized as leaders in their respective countries.

International consulting portfolio

Independence and an excellent international network give us a unique market position in Austria.
As an independent subsidiary of TPA Steuerberatung GmbH, we can draw on expertise in tax advisory, auditing, and management consulting across 11 countries in Central and Southeastern Europe.
Because we are not part of a corporate group, we are not subject to internal guidelines and requirements that are often set without regard for local circumstances. This allows us to remain self-determined and unbureaucratic, ensuring you receive cost-effective services with both temporal and substantive flexibility.
Our long-standing membership in Abelica Global, an international network of leading independent consultants and actuaries, provides you with global consulting and support.

Abelica is represented by its members in 26 countries and on every continent. An annual conference is held, featuring numerous presentations by members and guest speakers. In addition, meetings of various working groups are conducted, such as those in the fields of insurance and occupational pension schemes. There are also regular conference calls for the individual working groups and the Abelica Council.
We have been a member of Abelica Global since 2011. Since joining the network, we have participated in numerous events in cities including Boston, London, Frankfurt, Edinburgh, Brussels, Lisbon, Berlin, and Chicago. As a member of the Council and two working groups, we find it both a responsible and engaging task to play an active role in shaping Abelica.
The strength of independent Abelica members lies in their ability to apply their local knowledge to the individual advantage of their clients, without being hindered by strict, uniform network mandates. Abelica members are not part of any international corporation, and there is no dependency on insurance companies or pension funds. Nevertheless, the Abelica network does establish cross-border goals and initiatives whenever it makes sense at a national level. This is the case, for example, with interest rate recommendations in the Eurozone for the valuation of staff provisions under IFRS.
Furthermore, members actively exchange expertise and technical resources, such as tools for the mathematical modeling of financial and actuarial risks or web-based accounting software for staff provisions.
Furthermore, there is an active exchange of expertise and technical tools (e.g., for the mathematical modeling of financial and actuarial risks, web-based accounting software for pension provisions, etc.) among the members.
Some members have already developed innovative software solutions for their clients, such as Hymans Robertson LLP (UK) with © Club Vita, a tool for analyzing and visualizing longevity risks, and © Guided Outcomes, a tool for employees to manage their defined contribution pension plans. Our Canadian partner, Eckler Ltd., develops mobile apps and web-based solutions for the design, administration, and communication of employee benefits. Many of these applications can be adapted to local conditions as needed.
Abelica is not a sales platform for its members, but an alliance of firms that, in addition to sharing knowledge, collaborate on regional and international projects. The annual revenue generated through such projects within the network now totals several million euros. We can point to several joint reference projects, particularly in the field of global actuarial science, in which Aktuar Versicherungsmathematik GmbH has participated.
